6e14ff9234 TinyMCE: 
- Abstract the code for creating floating toolbars.
- Introduce `editor.wp` namespace to hold exported methods from our plugins.
- Create the wpView toolbar(s) with the new method. This makes them work the same as the image toolbar: shortcuts, esc key, etc.

f9180e1b4b Customizer: Introduce WP_Customize_Media_Control. 
`WP_Customize_Media_Control` is a new base class for all Customizer media controls. If used directly it supports the ID of an attachment instead of an URL like `WP_Customize_Upload_Control`.

5567d03278 Nav menus: Better JS performance on initial load of edit screen. 
The accessibility helpers previously processed all items when editing a menu, which was quite slow to the point of being unresponsive for large menus. They now only process items when they are expanded or a user comes near them in some way, such as hover or focus.

Also simplifies a redundant set of click event handlers down to one, which further enhances performance.

39dabbb8b1 When viewing media in List mode, auto-submit the form for attachment filters when the value of a <select> changes. This makes it behave similar to Grid mode and "feels" more performant, even though it is a full page load.

62a197d6bf List tables: Use CSS :nth-child() selectors for zebra striping. 
Note that this does not fix issues related to comment quick edit. Internal linking also continues to use the `.alternate` class for now. IE8 and below gracefully degrade by not having zebra striping.

There is some hoop jumping with adding an extra table row to maintain zebra striping during quick edit. Documenting that here for future reference; it is also in the inline documentation.

c8cdcef9be Editor scrolling: Remember and restore scroll position for visual and text modes. 
This prevents the editor from jumping off screen when the rendered visual content is significantly taller than plain text, e.g. when there are views present.

This is also a close restoration of 3.9 behavior, some of which was browser-specific.

* Add focus to arrows on Next/Previous in the grid's modal on left/right keypress, and add the necessary CSS for `:focus`
* When in a disabled input in the grid modal, allow the left/right keys to work
* Make the image editor return a `$.Deferred` so that there isn't a race condition with UI loading. 
* Assign focus when the edit image mode is rendered so that the modal can be closed on Esc press

* Use a single close icon instead of a context-changing cancel/close button in the Customizer. In user testing, this small distinction in language was overlooked, and we use an AYS now instead. This also makes it consistent with the back arrow in Customizer panels.

b7c93eb3d0 Customizer: Introduce a "panel" API to organize multiple sections into a one section. 
Create a panel via `$GLOBALS['wp_customize']->add_panel( $panel_id, $args )` and use `$panel_id` for the `panel` argument in `$GLOBALS['wp_customize']->add_section( $section_id, $args )`. That's it.
As an example all widget area sections are now summarized into one panel. Feedback appreciated.

* Re-work how and when widget forms get updated.
* Replace ad hoc hooks system with jQuery events,
* Add `widget-updated`/`widget-synced` events for widget soft/hard updates.
* Enter into a non-live form update mode, where the Apply button is restored when a sanitized form does not have the same fields as currently in the form, and so the fields cannot be easily updated to their sanitized values without doing a complete form replacement. Also restores live update mode if sanitized fields are aligned with the existing fields again.

Note: jQuery events are *not* final yet, see #19675.

cde6d602ea Widget Customizer: Improve plugin compatibility. 
Some plugins are using custom scripts and styles for there widgets. These are available on the Widgets screens, but not in the Customizer yet.
Scripts and styles can be enqueued via: 
* `admin_enqueue_scripts`
* `admin_print_scripts` and `admin_print_scripts-widgets.php`
* `admin_print_styles` and `admin_print_styles-widgets.php`
* `admin_print_footer_scripts` and `admin_footer-widgets.php`
All this hooks are now called in the Customizer too.

Previously we have add the `#widgets-right` ID to a container div via jQuery. Remember: `#widgets-right` exists on the Widgets screen and is used by many plugins to do event delegation from that element.
But since our script files are loaded in the footer, the JavaScript way is a bit late for some plugins.
We have decided to add a `div#widgets-right` container element to customizer. "Less hacky hack."

- Move the 'Saving post' and 'Draft saved at...' strings from autosaveL10n to postL10n as they are used only there.
- Use the custom jQuery events 'before-autosave' and 'after-autosave' to show these messages.
- Separate autosave.suspend() for local and server so local autosaves can continue while server autosaves are suspended.
- Remove the recently added autosave.server.disable() and use autosave.server.suspend() instead.
- Bring back .button.disabled, button-primary.disabled and use .disabled to prevent multiple form submissions.

df48cebeb4 No-JavaScript and no-Customizer support for the new Themes screen. 
JavaScript is rarely disabled, but graceful degradation is still important. For example, syntax errors can occur, usually with major WP updates that overhaul entire experiences and update external libraries combined with themes or plugins doing weird or old things. If this error is due to their current theme, a user needs to be able to access the themes screen to switch away from the theme. A more subtle issue could make things painful to diagnose.

This commit renders the grid in PHP (the template is duplicated, but it lightweight, fairly mundane, and easy to sync). On Backbone render, the grid is then re-rendered from JavaScript so searches can occur. Customize and Live Preview is disabled if JS fails to kick in. If JS is disabled, old-school "Preview" links are displayed.

No-Customizer support: The customizer is only supported when the browser supports postMessage (IE8+), and if the frontend is a different domain, CORS (IE10+). We use the .hide-if-no-customize class for this. Pre-customize "Preview" links should use .hide-if-customize.

The .load-customize class should be used to declare a link that opens the customizer. This enables customize-loader.js to intercept this link and load the customizer on top of the current window, making for a smoother experience.

49a0254863 Fix the ability to save changes made to an image.

- Don't deactivate "draggable" on the widget when the chooser is open. Makes it possible to still drag the "widget-in-question".
- Change the chooser's HTML id to a class to avoid collisions when cloning.
- Refresh the "sortable" positions when an open widget is dragged. Fixes problems moving the widget up or down in the same sidebar.

603c1aff6d Merge the color schemes component from MP6. Introduces Light, Blue, and Midnight. 
Color scheme selection on your own profile page gives you a preview and autosaves the selection.

Also introduces the usage of a preprocessor for core files, namely Sass. For 3.8, we will not expand its implementation past the color schemes. This does require Ruby as well as Sass 3.3.0+ due to the usage of the sourcemap option.

Note that only the default color scheme is available when running out of src. Use build to test the rest as well as the color picker.

2adf09fea9 Bring in the responsive component of MP6. See #25858. 
* Makes the admin fully responsive down to 320px wide.
* Adds a touch-optimized main menu that can be opened and closed from the toolbar.
* Size and positioning adjustments to icons, buttons, and text elements for better touch usability.

A few changes since MP6:

* Removed jQuery mobile. This script was used to add swipe controls to open/close the sidebar menu. This feature was apparently buggy and due to the pending demise of jQuery mobile, it was removed.
* Removed use of Backbone.js. Adding Backbone.js to this script would add a dependency of Backbone.js for all of the admin. Additionally, it was used to add a menu item. Instead of doing that, it was added via the admin menu API. This also fixes a bad delay in the item showing in the menu.
* CSS layout is standardized. Comments have also been cleaned up.
* Jetpack and Akismet code is removed.
* RTL CSS is removed.
* JS passes hinting other than one small issue that will likely be removed when parts of the code are reviewed.

A number of areas for improvement remain; we're tracking these issues in the comments of #25858.

174bbc20d8 Revisions: Combine our tooltip and from/to templates into one generic template 
We had three copies of essentially the same template. Now just one, with minor logic inside.

Also fixes a bug where tooltip.revision was being initially set to a diff instead of a revision.

* Eliminates the bloated Revisions meta box in favor of 'Revisions: #' in the publish box.
 * Adds ability to compare autosave to current post, when revisions are disabled.
 * Makes autosaves stand out visually, including "Restore This Autosave".

Also:
 * Adds missing capability check for restoring a revision.
 * When no revision matches the post's current modified time, avoid marking an autosave as 'current'.
 * Fixes wp_get_post_autosave() to return an autosave even when revisions are disabled.
 * Add 'check_enabled' arg to wp_get_post_revisions(); false avoids the wp_revisions_enabled() check.
 * Adds a responsive slider that is narrower for fewer versions. props markjaquith.

13c63d211a Revisions: Pinned controls, layout tweaks, copy tweaks, misc. 
* When you scroll down the diff view, the controls will pin to the top.
* The revisions meta view was cleaned up. Copy changes.
* Loading indicator in the center of the screen (so it follows as you scroll).
* Tooltips "flip" when you cross the center line, so that they don't hit the container edge and wrap for later revisions.
* The "Restore" button's inactive state is handled on render, instead of after.
* Make sure we always have a current revision, even if the timestamp doesn't work out on the most recent one.

c44ce3b6e6 Revisions: real URLs and preloading of the requested diff. 
* Real URLs are being used now, using pushState. `?revision={id}` or `?from={from}&to={to}`.
* Drop the redundant `action=edit` from the URLs (this is the default).
* The initial comparison is preloaded, whether a single revision or a compare-two situation.

ef5e733dbf Revisions: Bunch of refactoring and code cleanup 
* Extracted a lot of model-y stuff from the view code.
* Slider now has a proper model, with communication with other models.
* Use of `get( foo )` instead of `findWhere({ id: foo })`.
* Properly set the `from` diff when routing single mode.
* Bind `prev()` and `next()` to their model.
* Tick marks are now percentage based, which means the slider resizes with the browser, without JS resize events.
* When scrubbing, the position of the scrubber is considered a hover, so you can fall off the timeline while still scrubbing and the tooltips will persist.
* Tooltips fade in and out.
* Tooltips hang around for a grace period instead of immediately going away. More forgiving.
* Unused code paths removed.
* Got rid of a bunch of view-to-view communication.
* Use `_.times()` instead of a `for` loop.
* Removed premature `Math.floor()` and `Math.ceil()` calls that were making things not add up to 100%.

b6c1023caa Don't call updateDiff() in the Revisions FrameState model. 
* Stuff needs to hook in, so firing it early results in a half-rendered screen.
* `updateDiff()` now returns a promise.
* Now, in the frame view's `render()`, it calls `updateDiff()`, relying on its promise.
