# Data Storage
Dynmap supports the following storage backends:
- Flat files: The default for a new installation
- MySQL†
- SQLite†
- PostgreSQL (JDBC driver for this is now bundled with the Dynmap JAR)
- MariaDB - is compatible with MySQL
