🛠 Server Software

ExcellentEnchants is compiled under Spigot and should work fine on most of it forks:

  • Recommended: Spigot, Paper
  • Compatible: Spigot, Paper, Purpur
  • Not Supported: MultiPaper, Folia

All other softwares are untested and not guaranteed for the plugin work. Use it at your own risk. No support will be given.

⚠ Warning: Do NOT use software, that allows you to combine plugins and mods! They are very unstable and more likely will cause only more issues.

⚙ Server & Java Versions

To run ExcellentEnchants, you must have at least Java 17 installed. For supported server versions, please see the table below:

1.17.1 🔴 No Dropped. Upgrade to 1.18+
⚠ Disclaimer: There are no guarantees for the plugin features to work for clients connected from lower versions using ViaBackwards/ViaRewind and similar plugins.
📄 Side Note: Also, consider getting rid of plugins compiled under legacy (<1.13) API for better performance.

🔗 Hard Dependencies

You must install the NexEngine plugin to run ExcellentEnchants. The plugin will not start without it.

Note: Always install the latest release of engine plugin when it says in plugin updates, even if you already have it installed with the same version.

There are a few integrations with other plugins available to improve your experience with ExcellentEnchants. They all are completely optional!

❌ Incompatible/Unsupported Plugins

Note: Any other plugin with custom enchantments may be or not compatible with ExcellentEnchants. Combine them at your own risk.

Plugin State Reason
NeverTooExpensive 🔴 Sets players to Creative gamemode in anvils, as result bypasses all enchant limits.
Shopkeepers 🔴 Enchants are erased after server restart or shops reload.
